Since G+ bought the farm there has been a lack of Yoon-Suin related material online and it's just criminal, I tell you. Criminal.
My players will soon be introduced to Yoon-Suin in a new D&D 5E game, so I have spent far too long preparing poorly-formatted primers for them to reference while they think about their characters. I'll post the material I come up with here for posterity.
The "Starting Gear" document, in particular, needs reviewing. Not because it's unbalanced, that's the way it was designed, but because I want to sketch a map for that big blank space at the bottom.
The archive.
I should probably also do a "20 Questions" thing but honestly I don't like throwing too much front-loaded stuff at my players and I feel there's more than enough there already.
If you haven't heard of Yoon-Suin before, it's a land of tea, opium, slavery, evil spirits, impossibly-tall mountains, haunted jungles, river pirates, and slug-men. You should look for it digitally here or in print here.
The primers I wrote are of course for my interpretation of Yoon-Suin, so YMMV if you want to use them for your own fiction. Maybe you want more dwarves or more magic or more gold pieces. Like any wily GM I stole a lot of ideas and material from other people, and you should too.
This is also the first time I've run more than one campaign at a time, as I'm also running a semi-regular game of Lancer, but that's another story.
